Hey,

My name is Soléna Desrochers (soe-lane-ah), hence the nickname ‘Soe’. I am an illustrator, painter, and graphic designer extraordinaire!

My work explores a range of styles, from cartoonism to semi-realism, and is deeply inspired by my passion for nature, movement, and fun. I am currently studying Visual Communication Design at the University of Alberta while also working toward a certificate in sustainability. Nature rocks!!!

I recently participated in my first ever art market, Edmonton’s Whyte Avenue Art Walk. The experience was something I will never forget and I’m excited to reach other artists and art lovers through this website.

Currently, I’ve been investing more time in shorter bursts of creativity, largely through my cartoon style. I find it far more exciting to create art based on process and spontaneity, rather than waiting for the perfect moment or idea. Get out there and make some art!
